Yesterdays...August 19, 1969: Miles Davis's Masterpiece 'Bitches Brew'

As futuristic 'Bitches Brew' is/was, it still sounds like a human being determining their own fate (and future), as Davis demanded in every aspect of his life.

Fifty-five years ago today, on August 19, 1969, Miles Davis started his three-day stint for the recording of Bitches Brew at Columbia 52nd Street's Studio B in New York City. It would stamp a complete change-over into the ongoing experimentation with electric instruments/rock music that he had started with the fantastic In A Silent Way earlier that year.
